Position Summary   

                                               

The Analyst EDI is responsible for the management of EDI partnerships on relational databases, including all maintenance and upgrades.

 

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for special projects involving databases to meet client and customer needs as required.
  • Performs system testing to support software upgrades.
  • Serves as key member of the disaster recovery team.  Responsible for backup media necessary for database restoration.
  • Serves as primary interface for database-related issues.
  • Conducts research pertaining to future growth and development of hardware and software.

Minimum Qualifications

 

Education Level: (Required) Associate's Degree or equivalent experience

                                              

Field of Study/Area of Experience:  

  • Experience in the CPG industry a plus
  • Must possess an in-depth knowledge of necessary operating systems
  • Must have experience with ERP systems
  • Must have extensive knowledge of EDI implementation and trading relationships
  • Must possess an in-depth knowledge of X12 standards and the ability to translate business and technical specifications
  • Must have experience mapping EDI transaction sets
  • Prior experience working on a cross functional project team
  • EDI trading relationships using both VAN and AS2 connections

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • Excellent written communication and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and web-browsers
  • Analytical and research Skills

Environmental & Physical Requirements

 

Office / Sedentary Requirements

 

Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job.  Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each day), ability to hear the telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.  A detailed Environmental and Physical Requirements document is available in the Total Rewards department.
