You’re an art partner.

 

Your writing is more focused.   You’re equally balanced between quantity and quality.   And you still work with the supervisors to tighten up to the best messages.   Your primary responsibility is copy, but now you will be asked to add value to shopper marketing campaigns and higher level communications.  You work hand-in-hand with art directors and together as a team synergize art and copy into communication pieces.   And you know how to pivot communications fluidly between channels to create creative-in-context

 

You are an IN Marketing Copywriter.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fully understand the differences between audiences and how to talk to them in each of your brand’s voices.
  • Collaborate with art directors and writers all day long. You know that a great message can drive a visual, and you also know a great visual can be written to.
  • Fully understand the difference in “voices” for brands. You are beginning to think strategically about shopper marketing, design, and advertising communications.
  • Developing conceptual skills and can assist with presentation decks and the storytelling of ideas/conceptual work.
  • Creating written communications that effectively communicate and sell the developed marketing concepts both internally and externally.
  • Participates in brainstorming sessions to develop ideas into program executions.
  • Manages, organized multiple job and projects on a daily basis.
  • Builds strong internal relationships with Field Marketing, Account Services, and the Production Department team.
  • Participates in new business efforts. 

Qualifications:

  • Luxury Cosmetics/Beauty campaign experience is a HUGE plus.
  • 1-3 years of experience in an ad agency or marketing firm. Emphasis on shopper marketing campaigns a plus.   
  • Has good understanding of formal writing, the marketplace, and discipline language.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent prioritization skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable, able to change and later according to changes in projects or business environment.
  • Well organized, detail oriented and able to handle a fast paced work environment.
  • Ability to visualize and plan objectives and goals strategically.

Responsibilities

Position Summary

 

The Copywriter develops content and communication for advertising and marketing campaigns for the agency. Responsible for all aspects of agency copywriting projects, taking projects from original conception through completion, a single point of contact for those projects, participates in brainstorming sessions, and crafts compelling messages to convey a concept and support a design.

 

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

 

Creative Marketing Development

  • Create written communications that effectively communicate and sell the developed marketing concepts both internally and externally
  • Write copy for product-related marketing and sales collateral, retail communication, email and online merchandising assets, and corporate documents
  • Develop and implement copy that supports Clients’ objectives

Brainstorming

  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop ideas into program executions

Project Management

  • Manage and organize multiple jobs and projects on a daily basis 

  • Work within program/project budgets and identify cost-savings and revenue-building areas
  • Keep team members,  supervisors, clients informed of all relevant issues as they arise

Customer  / Client Relations

  • Build strong internal relationships with Field Marketing, Account Services, and the Production department teams
  • Participate in new business efforts

Minimum Qualifications

 

Education Level: (Required): Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

                                   

Field of Study/Area of Experience:

-English, journalism, marketing, mass communications or equivalent job-related experience

- 1-3 years of experience in an ad agency or marketing firm, or within a corporate advertising department (strong portfolio or professional and/or speculative creative work required with examples of writing/thinking to demonstrate abilities)

  • Flexible and adaptable, able to change and alter according to changes in projects or business environment

Environmental & Physical Requirements

Office / Sedentary Requirements

Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job.  Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each day), ability to hear the telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
