Sales Planning and Marketing Information Manager

 

The Sales Planning and Marketing Information Manager will play a critical role in the timely communication of information to enable execution of sales and marketing initiatives related to couponing and consumer programs, product packaging initiatives, pricing, on-pack couponing and related stickers, maintaining brand to trade communication, and S&OP input. The incumbent will oversee and insure reporting needs, manage project deadlines and incorporate multiple data sources, draw conclusions, and communicate insights and learnings to client constituencies.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities 

- On Pack Product Support

• Manage related project timelines from inception through to retail shelf execution across client and Advantage constituencies and third party providers for creative development, printing, and distribution.
• Provide timely reporting and assessment of project status and impact, assisting in recommendations for improvements and stronger future program executions.,
• Development of best practice and leading insights on program execution to improve planning and execution of on pack strategies across customers, classes of trade, and delivery platforms.

 

- Sales Planning Information

• Product specifications management (item and pack dimension, weight, cube, ti-hi, GTIN’s and related information.)
• Oversee the collection, accuracy, and distribution of sales support/sales collateral materials
• Excel based price list management with ongoing validations for accuracy and completeness
• Allocation and prioritized customer fulfillment for limited finished goods inventory
• Maintain master Item distribution for use in project planning

 

- Sales Support and Analysis

• Insure completeness and accuracy of new item information in sells sheets, presentations, and all other related sales collateral support
• Providing insight derived from analysis of syndicated data, POS data, and shipments data regarding product sell in, sell through, and source of supply
• Gain senior management approval in the development and communication of pricing guidelines and strategies, communicating and updating the sales organization on an as needed basis.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, and sales in managing product allocations to insure prioritize customer obligations are met with on hand inventory.
• Developing and publishing Priority SKU Distribution rankings
• Ad hoc analysis and reporting on shipment and consumption issues as driven by business needs

 

- Additional Duties

• Participate in the development of templates for client presentations to strategic customers for planning initiatives, new items execution, and assortment reviews
• Preparation and distribution of sales decks, presentations, sell sheets, and related sales collateral materials.
• Ongoing communication of business opportunities and recommend action plans by working with client and broker sales functions
• Assume a leadership role in collaborating with the Sales Team to develop insights, strategies and tactics relative to the scope of the job function.

Minimum Qualifications The following are the minimum job-related qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the job
Education Level: (Required): Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

(Preferred): Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Field of Study/Area of Experience: Business

- 3-5 years of experience in Sales Planning/Marketing Execution

Environmental & Physical Requirements

Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each day), ability to hear the telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
