    Logistics Solutions Analyst

We are seeking a dedicated Logistics Solutions Analyst who will be Reporting to a Senior Category Development Solutions Manager (CDSM) and working as an extension of the Kroger Manager of Assortment Optimization within Corporate Supply Chain.  The incumbent is responsible for learning the processes and expectations of the LSA role, learning the Kroger warehouse network, being able to create logistic analysis and recommendations while working cross functionally with the Our Brands Category teams to make logistics recommendations in relation to new and existing business.

    • Increase Retail Odyssey business connectivity with Kroger, interact with multiple departments; CSM, Sourcing, Merchandising, Supply Chain and Procurement.
    • Create and assist in the analysis and development of: Our Brands logistics solutions for new items and suppliers as well as existing business where opportunities exist.
    • Supports Kroger Our Brands CSM’s and Service Providers to manage logistics interactions with suppliers, taking ownership in providing recommendations for logistic solutions including coordinating logistics in association with Kroger Supply Chain and Procurement.
    • Develop functional expertise in all facets of Kroger logistics via on-the-job development, educational and networking opportunities; develop effective customer and supplier relationships.
    • Support, provide guidance with customer issues relating to supply chain/ logistics.
    • Develop strong, collaborative partnership with cross functional teams, our supplier partners and all Kroger departments.


    • Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent experience
    • Experienced in Retail, Grocery, Merchandising, Procurement or Analytics; Understanding of Product Development, Retail, Supply Chain and Logistics a plus
    • Procurement Experience
    • Relatable experience effectively developing & maintaining professional relationships
    • Strong organizational, time management and prioritization skills
    • Ability to work cross functionally with many teams

    Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

    Job Duty 

    • Data Analysis and use of Specialized Software Tools
      • Format coverage plans using MS Excel for import into Logistics software.
      • Process coverage plans in Logistics software; generating itinerary data and route statistics; loads coverage plans into ARTS Systems using MS SQL queries (predefined).
      • Prepare and deliver summary analysis of final coverage plan details to client using department standard format; any complex analysis is reviewed by Senior Analyst.
      • Develop minimally complex deployment models with moderate oversight. Works independently on the simplest deployment models 
    • Communication with Retail and Logistics Team
      • Listen and understand client objectives prior to holding a coverage plan 
      • Actively participate/lead working sessions with retail management to adjust coverage plan details through live meetings, conference calls and/or webinars
      • Communicate concerns/needs with Logistics team mates & Retail as appropriate
      • Attend internal logistics team meetings providing updates on projects and issues encountered 
    • Data Quality Assurance & Troubleshooting
      • Identify data discrepancies found in TDLinx & Store Master Data 
      • Identify store data issues between TDLinx & internal ARTS store databases.
      • Maintain store data integrity referencing subscription based TDLinx data in MS Access. 
      • Ensure UPS Logistics sessions are organized and well defined.
      • Be responsible for quality of ALL work products delivered. Ask for help as appropriate.

    - 0-2 years prior experience with logistical planning software a plus
    - 0-2 years with customer service experience a plus

    • Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and web-browsers
    • Strong analytical and research skills
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
    • Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle a fast-paced work environment
    • Flexible and adaptable, able to change and alter according to changes in projects or business environment
    • Team player with ability to collaborate and communicate with retail or business leaders

    Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each day), ability to hear the telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
