    VP Talent Acquisition


    The Vice President Talent Acquisition will lead all Staffing strategies, plans, and activities across ASM. This position will develop and implement high-volume recruitment strategies, systems, tools, and processes to produce strong results with measurable scalability and cost efficiency. The position will be a member of the HR Leadership team, participating in strategic business planning, budgeting, and growth management for the company.

    Job Duty


    Lead the merger of two distinct staffing teams into one streamlined, efficient, high-volume talent acquisition function

    Ensure on-line applicant tracking, on-boarding tools, and reporting processes are used consistently and effectively across ASM

    Plan for and effectively execute surge hiring peaks and on-going replacement fills

    Maximize an internal associate database and large “on call” workforce to fill jobs quickly

    Provide proactive team leadership to improve department results, structure, reporting, metrics, and accountability

    Prioritize and assign work to meet deadlines, deliverables, and ensure workload balance

    Develop and implement tools and processes that will improve the efficiency and effectiveness of candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, and on-boarding

    Lead and coordinate all external job searches, as well as all contracts with recruitment or temporary staffing agencies
    Keep HR Generalists, business leaders and hiring managers well informed of progress on searches

    Ensure that high quality standards for candidate management practices are in place

    Participate in networking organizations, conferences, or related events to solidify ASM’s employment brand presence in the marketplace and to help source talent

    Effectively lead the Talent Acquisition team, manage the department budget, and plan for headcount/resources on a timely basis
    Responsible for hiring, training, professional development, terminations, and written performance reviews
    Implement appropriate communications, rewards and recognition programs to engage and retain associates


    Supervisory Responsibilities


    Direct Reports

    - Hires, retains, trains, coaches, guides, directs, and develops direct reports using company-wide processes, tools and resources


    Indirect Reports

    - May delegate work of others and provide guidance, direction and mentoring to indirect reports


    Travel and/or Driving Requirements


    - Travel is an essential duty and function of this job. Driving is not an essential duty or function of this job. 


    Minimum Qualifications


    The following are the minimum job-related qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the job

    Education Level: (Required)      Bachelor's Degree           or equivalent experience


          (Preferred)             Master's Degree  or equivalent experience                       


    Field of Study/Area of Experience


    - 15+ years of experience in business with 10+ years of people management

    - 10+ years of hands-on experience as a leader of a large team of recruiting personnel providing high volume recruiting services

    - Experience in the services industry, retail and/or consumer packaged goods ideal

    - Prior experience running online applicant tracking and on-boarding system required


    Skills, Knowledge and Abilities


    ·         Skill in supervising to include delegating responsibility, training and evaluating performance

    ·         Ability to direct, lead, coach, and develop people

    ·         Excellent written communication and verbal communication skills

    ·         Ability to visualize and plan objectives and goals strategically

    ·         Strong prioritization skills

    ·         Ability to complete multiple duties with accuracy shifting from one to another with frequent interruptions and competing deadline

    ·         Team building Skills

    ·         Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and web-browsers

    Office / Sedentary Requirements

    Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job.  Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each day), ability to hear the telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
