We are seeking a talented Microsoft Dynamics AX Manager to direct our business applications team with the support, implementation, deployment, and maintenance of our Financials applications.  This role is based in our Irvine, California corporate offices.

    As a Microsoft Dynamics AX Manager, you will be responsible for techno/functional to develop, maintain and continuously upgrade our Microsoft Dynamics AX financial applications. You will serve as the Dynamics AX subject matter expert to our network of technical talent and enterprise-wide business units.

    • Under direction, will analyze and assess current processes and define/document improvements (Current state/future state/ideal state)
    • Continuously update project planning documents, including ROI, milestones and metrics to track results
    • Proactively communicate with all teams to analyze information needs and functional requirements
    • Recommend or propose a method and procedural changes to applications and processes to effect improvements of efficiency, effectiveness or cost; offer best-practice suggestions based on experience, system capabilities, and research
    • Provide a leadership role in developing application specifications and process flows
    • Manage time, set staff priorities, and perform management escalations for direct reports


    • Experience in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3 modules like General Ledger, Account Receivable, Accounts Payable, Sales & Marketing (CRM), Procurement & Sourcing, Inventory Management, Manufacturing (Process), Projects modules helpful. Full cycle Dynamics 365/AX implementation experience and the lead role in at least 2 full lifecycle implementation and 3+ years large scale ERP implementation experience (Tier 1,2 ERP applications) absolutely required.
    • Experience with modeling business process and translating requirements into business applications
    • High proficiency in Dynamics AX Development and customization aspects (X++ programming, MorphX, Solution Development, AIF, Enterprise Portal)
    • Proficiency in Dynamics AX Installation and administration
    • Proficiency in report development using SSRS
    • Proficiency in .NET programming

    Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
    Job Duty 

    Software Development Management

    • Lead project planning and sizing activities, identify resource requirements, and oversee a team of internal and external resources capable of producing specified deliverables
    • Create and maintain an software development project plan that communicates tasks, milestone dates, status, and resource allocation
    • Identify and communicate major milestones and risks to achieving those milestones in a positive manner
    • Coordinate delivery of development (beta) and production releases that meet quality assurance standards
    • Manage software development projects around the BI platform to ensure quality, on time, within budget delivery from requirement definition through testing, rollout, and support
    • Perform work breakdown and task identification, assign tasks to project resources, track progress on assigned tasks, and manage the assembly of completed tasks into coherent deliverables

    Technical Leadership

    • Architect, design, develop, test, and deploy code for business intelligence and database technology platforms
    • Plan and execute efforts to address technical debt for legacy systems and processes
    • Share acquired skills/knowledge with team members and mentor junior engineers
    • Collaborate with test team in creating a Quality Assurance strategy for supporting both new and legacy BI systems
    • Develop and enforce development best practices
    • Lead code reviews and technical exchange sessions
    • Manage the development and maintenance of technical documents

    End User Support

    • Create a user support structure that addresses user requests with minimal impact on ongoing project work
    • Manage user training and onboarding activities.
    • Perform technical liaison functions to all clients/customers 


    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    Direct Reports
    - Hires, retains, trains, coaches, guides, directs, and develops direct reports using company-wide processes, tools and resources

    Indirect Reports
    - May delegate work of others and provide guidance, direction and mentoring to indirect reports

    Minimum Qualifications The following are the minimum job-related qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the job
    Education Level: (Required):  Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
    Field of Study/Area of Experience:  computer science, engineering or related education/professional work experience
    - 6+ years of significant experience with SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS
    - 6+ years of relevant experience with Systems Analysis and documentation
    - Deep knowledge of related technologies such as SSAS, Microsoft and third party BI tools, .NET
    - Current experience presenting technical solutions to business and technical audiences
    - Experience leading software development teams through all phases of the SDLC
    - Experience managing business clients or customers
    - Advanced communication, organization, and project management skills
    - SCRUM Master and working within an Agile process a plus
    - Prior consulting experience is a big plus

    • Third party BI visualization and end user tools
    • Working knowledge of related systems and platforms:.NET, Active Directory, BizTalk, Dynamics and application architecture


    Environmental & Physical Requirements:

    Office / Sedentary Requirements: Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job.  Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each day), ability to hear the telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
