    Responsibilities

    Job Duty

    • Assists the Market Research Analyst with examining and analyzing statistical data to forecast future marketing trends. Gathers data on competitors and analyzes prices, sales, and methods of marketing and distribution.
    • Collects primary and secondary research data on consumer preferences, trends, and buying habits including; conducting primary research, and utilizing secondary consumer, retailer, and sales resources to determine trends.
    • Prepares reports and graphic illustrations of findings to Market Research Analyst.

    Minimum Qualifications

     

    The following are the minimum job-related qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the job

    Education Level: (Required):    Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

     

    Field of Study/Area of Experience:  Business

    - 1-3 years of work experience conducting market research in applicable field (in consumer or industrial business with a Research Specialist, Customer, and/or Client).

     

    Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

    • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within market research field
    • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
    • Strong interpersonal skills - ability to interact at varying management levels/client interface
    • Strong organization, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
    • Proficiency in quantitative and statistical analyses
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Must be able to effectively handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
    • Team player with good people skills
    • Works under general supervision; typically reports to a supervisor, manager or director
    • A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required

    Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job.  Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each day), ability to hear the telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
