Sr Director Scheduling ACX

 

The Senior Director of Scheduling is responsible for providing strategic oversight of national scheduling operations, ensuring workforce deployment aligns with business needs and organizational objectives. This role leads the recruitment, development, and performance management of the scheduling team while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. The position oversees large-scale scheduling and coordination of field execution activities, collaborating with cross-functional leaders to ensure compliance with operational standards and client requirements. The Senior Director also manages labor planning, reporting functions, and process optimization to drive execution efficiency and support enterprise-wide goals.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

Strategic Workforce Planning & Scheduling

• Provide strategic oversight of national scheduling operations by aligning teammate deployment with organizational objectives and business needs.
• Drive efficiency and productivity by leading the development and implementation of advanced scheduling models, ensuring optimal coverage and workload balance across all regions.
• Ensure consistent execution through delegation, follow-up, and accountability at all levels of the scheduling function.
Team Development
• Lead recruitment, selection, onboarding, and training strategies to build a high-performing scheduling team.
• Cultivate a culture of continuous learning through coaching, mentoring, and individualized development plans tailored to successors, high performers, and key contributors.
• Manage performance through structured feedback, goal alignment, and appropriate intervention strategies.

 

Project & Event Execution Leadership
• Oversee large-scale scheduling and coordination of field execution activities across multiple regions and divisions. Accountable for field execution results.
• Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to prioritize and allocate resources effectively, ensuring flawless event execution and compliance with client requirements and operational standards.
• Ensure adherence to food safety guidelines and event protocol through structured planning and training.

 

Internal Stakeholder Engagement
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal business partners through frequent, high-impact communication and collaboration.
• Serve as a key point of contact to ensure alignment between scheduling strategies and broader business objectives.

Oversight & Reporting
• Lead reporting functions to deliver actionable insights on scheduling performance, labor metrics, and execution efficiency to executive leadership.
• Drive continuous improvement through data analysis, trend identification, and process optimization.


Budget & Expense Management
• Own labor planning and oversight, identifying cost-saving opportunities and driving efficiency across scheduling operations.
• Monitor and control expenses to ensure alignment with fiscal goals while maintaining high service standards.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Direct Reports
- Hires, retains, trains, coaches, guides, directs, and develops direct reports using company-wide processes, tools and resources

Indirect Reports
- May delegate work of others and provide guidance, direction and mentoring to indirect reports

 


Travel and/or Driving Requirements

- Travel and Driving are not essential duties or functions of this job

Minimum Qualifications The following are the minimum job-related qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the job
Education Level: (Required): Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

 

Field of Study/Area of Experience: Retail Management
8-10 years of experience in retail field management, with hiring, managing both full-time and part-time employees, demonstration or even marketing, results reporting, inventory, merchandising and training experience

 

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Able to handle fast paced work environment
In-depth understanding of workforce planning, labor forecasting, and scheduling methodologies across multi-site operations
Strong knowledge of event execution logistics, field operations, and compliance standards, including food safety protocols
Understanding of organizational structures, resource allocation, and cross-functional collaboration
Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams at all levels of the organization
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint

Environmental & Physical Requirements

Office / Sedentary Requirements
Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each day), ability to hear the telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
